Registration Now for Summer Theatre Classes in historic downtown Melbourne
The Feller Theatre Academy at the Henegar Center for the Arts announces its annual Fantasy & Fun Summer Theatre Camp. The three-week camp meets on Monday Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and offers a wide range of performing arts activities for students entering first through seventh grades.
The camp exposes students to the full spectrum of the performing arts including acting, vocals, set building, costumes and improvisation. A small presentation ends the camp on the Henegar Center stage with an invited audience of family and friends. Instructors for this creative dramatics workshop include veteran theatre artists Pam Mankowski and Rosemarie Cocker with technical assistance from Adam Lucker.
Class size is limited with a registration fee of $250, which includes a free camp t-shirt, daily snack and a performance at the end of the camp. Interested students may sign up at the Henegar Center during regular business hours. Registrations may also be taken over the phone with a major credit card.
The programs of the Henegar Center for the Arts are sponsored in part by the Margaret Heins Foundation, Bristol Hansen Foundation, State of Florida – Division of Cultural Affairs, Brevard County Board of County Commissioners through the Brevard Cultural Alliance, Inc., and the City of Melbourne.
